If a shirt cost $97. James borrowed $50 each from his parents and bought the shirt. Out of the $3 change he received, he gave $1 to each of his parent and kept $1 himself. By then he would have owe $49 each and total debt = $49 * 2 = $98 And $98+$1 he kept = $99 Where is the $1? because total should be $100
