    The equation should be h (t) = 16t^2 + 100t+5 so that the height won't be negative

    basically subsitute h (t) = - 16t^2 + 100t+5

    so subsitute 3 for t and 5 for t

if 3 seconds or t=3 then

    h (3) = - 16 (3^2) + 100 (3) + 5

    h (3) = - 16 (9) + 300+5

    h (3) = - 144 + 300+5

    h (3) = 161

if 5 seconds or t=5 then

    h (5) = - 16 (5^2) + 100 (5) + 5

    h (5) = - 16 (25) + 500+5

    h (5) = - 400+500+5

    h (5) = 105

    if t=3 then h (3) = 161 ft

    if t=5 then h (5) = 105 ft
