2 (4x-11) = 10
a. Distribute 2
2 (4x-11) = 10 >> 8x-22=10
b. Get the unknown variable by itself (add 22 on both sides)
8x-22=10 >> 8x=32
+22 + 22
c. Get the variable to equal to 1 or x (Divide 8 on both sides)
8x=32 >> x = 4
8x/8 (so it can equal to 1x) = 32/8
tip: x = 1x
