So just add the fractions together but keep the denominator the same. So now the fraction is 6/8, To simplify just find the greatest common factor which is 2 and divide both the numerator and the denominator by 2. Now the fraction should turn out into 3/4.

2/8+4/8=6/8 = 2/3 I believe if there isn't some hidden text I don't understand ...
