If y varies inversely with x and y=3 when x=4, what is the value of y when x=2?

    Y = k/x for inverse variation so

    3 = k/4 and k = 3*4 = 12

    so we have the equation y = 12/x

    when x = 2 y = 12/2 = 6 answer
