A city has a population of 270,000 people. Suppose that each year the population grows by 4% what will the population be after five years? Round to the nearest whole number

    I'm going to shorten to 270 (thousand) instead of keeping all the zeros.

    P = 270 (1.04) ^5

    P = 270 (1.27628)

    P = 344.596

    population in 5 yrs will be 344,596
