The quotient of a number and it's a reciprocal

Quotient: A quotient is the result of dividing one number by another. For example, the quotient of 8 and 4 is 8/4 = 2.

Reciprocal: something in a reciprocal relationship to another. : either of a pair of numbers (as 2⁄3 and 3⁄2 or 9 and 1⁄9) whose product is one; broadly : multiplicative inverse.

The quotient of a number and its reciprocal is the square of the original number.
