Mary is making pillows for her Life Skills class. She bought 2 1/2 yards of fabric. Her total cost was $15. What was the cost per yard?

    Cost of 2 1/2 yards = $15

    cost of 1 yard=?

    cost of one yard = 15 / (2 1/2)

    =15/5/2

    =15/5*2

    =3*2

    =$ 6

    so the cost of fabric for one yard will be $6
