1, A college basketball team offers season passes for $85.00, but you pay $4.45 for a program at each game. Non-season-pass holders pay $13.89 for admission to each game, but the game program is free. For what number of games is the cost of these plans the same?

    So first, you'd multiply $13.89 and $4.45 by the same number, i chose 9 because its just one of the answer, and you'd add $85 to what you got for the $4.45 one

    13.89 x 9 = 125.01

    4.45 x 9 = 40.05 + 85 = 125.05

    these answers are only about four cents apart ... which is close enough for C to be the right choice
