The angles of a triangle are 80°, 2x + 2° And 5X degrees. What is the value of x?

    Since the angles add to 180 degrees, set up an equation.

    80 + 2x + 2 + 5x = 180

    Combine like terms

    7x + 82 = 180

    subtract 82 from both sides

    7x = 98

    divide both sides by 7

    x = 14
