Simplify the expressions below

a. (y^3) ^2y^4 b. (z^-3) ^-2z^3

    When you raise a exponent to an exponent, multiply exponents.

    When you multiply powers with the same base add exponents.

    a. (y^3) ^2y^4 = y^6y^4 = y^10

    b. (z^-3) ^-2z^3 = z^6z^3 = z^9
