The length of a rectangle is

2ft longer than its width.

If the perimeter of the rectangle is

32ft, find its area.

    32 is the perimeter. since the length is 2 more than the width. subtract 4 from 32 and it'll give you 28. then you divide 28 by 4 and it'll give you 7. so now you know you width is 7. and your length is 11. multiply those two together to get your area, which is 77.
