Okay. 3/4 of a cup of maple syrup is filled in 1/2 an hour. We can divide fractions to find the rate that the tree runs out syrup. To divide fractions, keep the first fraction the same, change multiplication into division, and flip the second fraction over. It would look like this: 3/4 * 2/1. 3/4 * 2/1 is 6/4 or 1 1/2 in mixed number form. Syrup flows from the tree at 1 1/2 cups per hour.
