    Assuming that the shape is a paralellogram (4 sided shape with 2 pairs of paralell sides)

    area=legnth times width

    legnth=10

    width=5

    5 times 10=50

    area is 2-D so

    50 square cm is also written as 50cm^2

    the answer is 50 square cm
