5 (2x - 8) + 15 = - 15

Explain what steps there are to solve the equation.

    First you distribute the 5 so the equation becomes 10X-40+15=-15.

    Then you combine like terms so the equation becomes 10X-25=-15

    Next you want to get X by itself so you add 25 so the equation becomes 10X=10.

    Last you'll divide by 10 so X is all by itself. So the answer would be X=1
