Jon has two trees in his yard. One is 25 feet taller than the other. If we let h be the height of the shorter tree, write an algebraic expression for the sum of the two trees' heights. Be sure to simplify expression

    2x + 25. If you let X stand for the smaller of the two trees, than X + 25 can stand for the taller tree. when you write X + X + 25, you can combine the two X's into 2x because they are like terms.
