Divide the denominator into the numerator and multiply the answer by 100 1/5=.20 X 100 = 20%

Percent means parts out of 100 so one way to do it is to divide the fraction exg
3/4=0.75/1
we want x/100 so multiply both top and bottom by 100
75/100=75%
so just divide the fraction then mulitply by 100
or if possible, convert the bottom number to 100
