8am-8:30pm=12.5 hours and with the lunch break it makes it 11.5. Thats 8 hours of $18 work and 3.5 hours of $27 work.

    8 times 18 equals $144

    3.5 times 27 equals $94.5

    144+94.5 = $238.5

Ellen made $238.50 working that day
