Identify the slope and y-intercept for the linear equation y = 4x - 2.

    The slope is the gradient which is the coefficient of y over the coefficient of x so 1/4 and the y intercept is y when x = 0.

    So Slope = 1/4

    y-Intercept = 4*0-2 = - 2
