the quadratic equation is : 2x²+4x-6 = 0

delta = b²-4ac

delta = 4²-4 (2) (-6) = 64 = 8²

x = (-4 + √64) / 4 = (-4+8) / 4 = 1

or x = (-4-√64) / 4 = (-4-8) / 4 = - 3
