If the boy is 5' 6" tall and his shadow is 4 ft. and the shadow of the flagpole is 18 ft., determine the height of the flagpole (to the nearest tenth).

    By similar triangles we can say:

    h/18=5.5/4 multiply both sides by 18

    h=99/4 ft

    h=24.75 ft
