    2x + 4y - 8 = 0 ... if we put this in y = mx + b form, we will have the slope in the m position and the y int in the b position

    4y = - 2x + 8

    y = - 1/2x + 2 ... so the slope is - 1/2 and the y int is 2 or (0,2)

    the x int can be found by subbing in 0 for y and solving for x

    4y = - 2x + 8

    4 (0) = - 2x + 8

    2x = 8

    x = 8/2

    x = 4 ... so the x int is 4 or (4,0)

    * * little tip ... u can also find the y int by subbing in 0 for x and solving for y ... but u wouldn't have the slope
