If function f is defined by f x () = 3x2 - 5x + 4, what is f x ( - 4) ?

    F (-4) = 3 x 2 - 5 (-4) + 4

    3x2 = 6

    -5 (-4) = 20

    6-20 = - 14

    -14+4 = - 10

    f (-4) = - 10
