A softball diamond is a square 60 ft on a side. what is the length from home to second base? (using pythagorean theorem)

    60^2 + 60^2 = SH (or c^2) (second to home)

    60^2 = 3600 + 3600 = 7200

    take sqrt of 7200 you get 84.85

    therefor the distance from second to home is 84.85 ft
