For a height that has legs a and b and hypotenuse c, find the length of the side not given here a=9 c=15

    using pythagoras' theorem:

    a² + b² = c²

    reverse i: b² = c² - a²

    a=9 and c = 15

    b² = 15² - 9²

    b² = 144

    b = 12
