    X² - 4x = 5 ⇒ x² - 4x - 5 = 0

    x² ⇒ x * x

    -5 ⇒ - 5 * 1

    -4 ⇒ - 5 + 1

    (x + 1) (x - 5) = x (x-5) + 1 (x-5)

    x² - 5x + 1x - 5 = x² - 4x - 5

    x + 1 = 0

    x = - 1

    x - 5 = 0

    x = 5

    y = x² - 4x - 5

    y = - 1² - 4 (-1) - 5

    y = 1 + 4 - 5

    y = 5 - 5

    y = 0

    y = x² - 4x - 5

    y = 5² - 4 (5) - 5

    y = 25 - 20 - 5

    y = 0
