A country has an area of 215 square miles. If the population density of that country is 34.5 people per square miles, what is the population of the country?

    (34.5p/mi^2) (215mi^2) = 7417.5 people; )

    I'd probably round down to 7417 as a half person does not makes sense a people are integers.
