You are given a problem in which a positive number and a negative number are multiplied together and then divided be a positive number which type of answer would be most reasonable and why

A. A negative number would be most reasonable because a positive times a negative will yield a positive. Dividing that be a positive will result in a negative

B. A positive number would be most reasonable because a positive times a negative will yield a positive. Dividing that by a positive will result in a positive.

C. A positive number would be most reasonable because a positive times a negative will yield a negative. Dividing that by a positive will result in a positive.

D. A negative number would be most reasonable because a positive times a negative will wield a negative. Dividing that by a positive will result in a negative.

    The answer is "D"

    For example,

    2*-4 = - 8 (which is a negative number)

    now, - 8/2 = - 4 (which is also a negative number.)
