    Solve for l.

    p=2 (l+w)

    Flip the equation.

    2l+2w=p

    Add - 2w to both sides.

    2l+2w+-2w=p+-2w

    2l=p-2w

    Divide both sides by 2.

    2l/2=p-2w/2

    l=1/2p-w

    P = 2 (L + W)

    P = 2 (L) + 2 (W)

    P = 2L + 2W

    P - 2W = 2L

    2 2

    ¹/₂P - W = L
