    13 1/3 miles = 40/3 miles

1 1/8 gallons of gasoline = 9/8 gallons of gasoline

    (40/3) / (9/8)

    = 40/3 x 8/9

    = 320 / 27

    = 11 23/27 miles gallon of gasoline
