    Sub j (x) = - 5 into the first eq.

    -5 = (4/5x) + 7

    Add 7 to both sides

    2=4/5x

    Muliply both sides times 5x

    10x=4

    Divide both sides by 10

    X=4/10

    Simplify

    X=2/5
