A right triangle has one leg of length 84 units. The hypotenuse is 91 units long. What is the length of the other leg?

    From Pythagoras: a² + b² = c²,

    ∴ 84² + b² = 91²

    ∴ b² = 91² - 84²

    ∴ b = √ (91² - 84²) = 35
