Using what you know of rational number, describe a real-world situation where a doctor might use the set of rational numbers on a daily basis.

    Blood pressure is often used as the systolic blood pressure over the diastolic blood pressure (this is a fraction and thus a rational number). A person's BMI (Body Mass Index) is a comparison between height and weight (another day, another fraction, another rational number.)
