If the sum of two positive numbers is 40, and their difference is 14, what is the product of the two numbers

    It would have to be 28 if you used 14. If you used 13 the other number would have to be 27. The sum total of these numbers is 40. The product would be 13x27. This equals 351.

    40/2=20

    14/2=7

    20-7=13

    20+7=27

    13*27=351
