    First let X = 4^x, then we have:-

    2X^2 - 3X + 1 = 0

    (2X - 1) (X - 1) = 0

    X = 0.5, 1

    So 4^x = 1 which makes x = 0

    and 4^x = 0.5 gives x ln4 = ln0.5 so x = ln0.5 / ln 4 = - 0.5

    Solution set is (-0.5,0)
