A team from each school had 250 foam balls and a bucket. The Jackson team dunked 6 fewer balls than the Pine Street team. The Pine Street team dunked all but 8 of their balls. How many balls did the two teams dunk in all?

    478 because the pine dunked all but 8 so 250-8=242 then Jackson dunked 6 fewer so 242-6=236 then all together 242+236=478
