    Hello!

There are a couple ways we can use to convert a fraction to a decimal, but let's stick with the easiest one.

To convert a fraction to a decimal, simply divide the numerator (top part of the fraction) by the denominator (bottom part).

The first fraction is 5/15. Its numerator is 5, and its denominator is 15. Divide the top by the bottom.

    5 : 15 = 0.3333333333

Because this decimal keeps repeating, it is called a "repeating fraction."

We don't want to write all those 3's over and over again, so to indicate that it is a repeating decimal, simply put a bar above the 3.

Convert the other two fractions using the same method:

    4 : 15 = 0.266666667

Remember to put a bar above the repeating number.

    3 : 15 = 0.2

Since this decimal does not repeat, it is called a "terminating decimal". You do not have to put a bar above the 2.

    Don't forget this method!
