    Ok, so the tilt is thhe slope

    slope=rise/run

    if the slope is negative, then it is tilted right downwards

    horizontal is 0/infinity slope or 0 slope, it is normally in y=something form

    vertical slope is undefined slope, it is normally in x=something form

    so

    in form

    ax+by=c

    slope=-a/b

    so

    6x-2y=8

    slope=-6/-2=3

    3 is positive, so tilted right upward
