    Okay. So. For the top and bottom of the can:

    Take the radius, which is half of the diameter, so its 3.75. Then you find the area which is 3.14 (pie) x3.75 squared. So the equation is : 3.14x (3.75) 3.75=44.15625

    Then multiply by two because there is a top and bottom. So,

    88.3125.

    Then find the area of the middle of the can.

    Which is pie times the diameter times the height.

    So that is:

    3.14 x 7.5 x 11=259.05

    So then you add those two together.

    259.05 + 88.3125 = 347.3625,

    Or 347.36 cm cubed.

    Cans are normally cylinders

    Vcylinder=hpir^2

    h=11

    d/2=r

    7.5/2=3.75=r

    V=11pi3.75^2

    V=11pi14.0625

    V=154.6875pi

    aprox pi=3.141592 and multiply

    V=485.96

    round tenth

    486.0 cm^3
