Suppose j varies jointly with g and v, what is j when g=10 and v=9?

    The standard joint variation is y = kxz, so we modify it for this one and get j = kgv. Since we don't know the constant, I'm assuming it's 1

    This gives us j = gv, or j = 10*9 = 90
