Given the following functions f (x) and g (x), describe the changes (horizontal shifts, vertical shifts, etc.) to the graph of g (x) with respect to the graph of f (x).

F (x) = |x| g (x) = - |x+3| - 2

    Since g (x) = - F (x+3) - 2

    if the graph of F (x) is shifted to the left 3 units and reflected around the x axis then shifted 2 units down

    or

    g (x) = - (F (x+3) + 2)

    If the graph of F (x) is shifted to the left 3 units then shifted up 2units then reflected around the x-axis
