4x + 3y + x - 3y = - 5 + 10

5x = 5

x = 5/5

Substituting x = 1, into (i)

4 (1) + 3y = - 5.

4 + 3y = - 5

3y = - 5 - 4

3y = - 9

y = - 9/3

y = - 3.
