    4x+x-4=26

    5x-4=26

    +4 + 4

    5x=22

    Divide by 5

    x=4.4

    y=4.4-4

    y=0.4

    (4.4,0.4)

    4x+y=26 replace y with (x-4) & solve for x in this equation.

    4x + (x-4) = 26

    4x+x=26+4

    5x=30

    x=30/5

    x=6 answer.

    y=6-4

    y=2 answer.

    Proof.

    4*6+2=26

    24=2=26

    26=26 Y=x-4
