At a store 5 vases. each has smae number of flowers. 16 flowers are sold and 24 left. how many flower were in each vase?

    First, you have to figure out how many flowers there are in total. 16 + 24 = 40. So that means there are 40 flowers, then you have to divide by 5. 40 divided by 5 = 8. There were 8 flowers in each vase.
