The total cost of a taxi ride is given by C = 1.20n + 5.25. A) find the cost of a 27 km trip : C = 1.20 (27) + 5.25 = 37.65 B) if the trip costs $26.85, how many kilometres did the person travel?

    26.85=1.2n+5.25, subtract 5.25 from both sides, 21.6=1.2n, divide by 1.2 to get n alone, and the answer is 18 km
