Mike wants to make meatloaf. His recipe uses a total of 4 pounds of meat. If he uses a 3 to 1 ratio of beef to pork, how much pork will he use? Enter your answer as a mixed number in simplest terms.

    Mike should use 1 pound of pork meat to make meatloaf. To convert the two kinds of meat into percentage, the total amount of meat used is divided into four. This leaves 75% for beef meat and 25% for pork meat. Twenty-five percent of 4 pounds is 1 pound.
