Find the three arithmetic means in this sequence 14 and 26

    We subtract them and divide by four to find the common difference d. The intermediate means implies that there are four increments, thus we shall have:

    (26-14) = 12

    hence

    12/4=3

    thus

    d=2 and the missing means are:

    26, 23,20,17,14
