50% of all the cakes Jenny baked that week were party cakes, 15 were fruit cakes, and the remainder were sponge cakes.

What percentage of cakes were sponge cakes?

    1/5 = 20 percent. 50-20=30 percent sponge cakes.

    Divide 5 into 1 and you will get. 20. Turn it into 20 percent so you can subtract 50 from 20 and get 30%.
