1) There are three colours of beads in a bag. The ratio of red to yellow beads is 8:3. The ratio of green to yellow beads is 9:2. What fraction of the beads are green?

2) If the mean of a thousand numbers is zero and all but one of the numbers is 1, the other number is - 999. The mean on n numbers is m and all but one of the numbers is one more than m. What is the other number in terms of n and m?
