I've been studying for my final. So how do we factor a polynomial?

    You would find the GCF. For example, 7x-7.

    The common factor is 7, so you would put that outside of the brackets.

    7x-7

    7 (x-1)

    7 times x is 7x, and 7 times - 1 is - 7.
